So you want to be a Ski or Snowboard Instructor. It is a fun and rewarding career, passing on your love and passion for snowsport to new and experienced skiers and riders alike. Families, Kids, Adults, Group and Private Lessons are just some of the products that Ski and Snowboard Schools offer their visitors. But how do you get your foot in the door?

You have been offered your dream job…What now? Before packing your bags and charging across the country (or the world), make sure you have a few things organized to have the most success and fun possible in your new career.

So you’re looking for a job at a ski and snowboard school?  You may be looking to teach kids or adults in one of these disciplines but there is one more option that you may have overlooked – teaching adaptive skiing and snowboarding.  If a guest is unable to stand they can sit, if they are unable to see they can use a guide to see for them. In short if someone wants to ski or snowboard, an adaptive ski or snowboard instructor will find a way. 

The Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) are non-profit organizations that work in snow sports education.  We are all about passion for the snow, creating opportunity through education, service concepts, self improvement and creating a fun experiences for all on the snow.

We offer educational clinics to advance the skills of ski and snowboard instructors and conduct certification and assessment for people working in the snowsports industry.
